Creativity, passion and talent are three words we would use to describe ARTAYA designer, Dana Ayanna Greaves.
We recieved her lookbook yesterday and fell instantly in love with her work!
Dana is a washington DC based designer who produces a collection of apparel and accessories with the goal of dressing women that she defines as a 'Bohemian Boss.' These women are fearless, accomplished, and culturally curious. Dana draws influence from design elements found in China, western and southern Africa, and the Caribbean resulting in a modern aesthetic that is peppered with print, texture, and multicultural notes.
"My aesthetic is a blend of multicultural vibrancy balanced by minimalist shapes. Because I work with unique materials like paper, my jewelry gets a lot of buzz and adds pop to everyday looks"
Dana appeals to risk-taking women who balance youthfulness with wisdom. Her line is loved by musicians like Erykah Badu and sells to an international clientele.
Dana's design of a "TURBAND"!
Dana was recently named one of “the District’s most promising design talents” on the cover of The Washington Post Magazine. Her collection was labeled “Best of the City 2011” in Modern Luxury magazine and her work has been featured in national publications like Jet, Travel and Leisure, and Lucky.
You can purchase Dana's pieces online at http://artayacollection.com or through special events listed here http://artisticaya.com/events.
Loves it!
