Cookie this is soooo sweet of you!! I love love love love it!! I will miss you a thousand times +1 more :) Get your skype ready cause it's gon be on :)!!!! Kaven and Juju beans thank you for coming, I feel so loved:)
Mimosa sipping spinsters. Sorry to see that neither of you broads have managed to gain commitment from a desirable man, or any man for that matter, as "beautiful," "intelligent," "successful," and blah blah blah you are.
30 is fast approaching, if bit already approached for at least one of you. Be warned. You cannot compete with 20 year olds anymore.
See Xiomara the commitment you have gained from a man (I am assuming you must be in a committed relationship in order to leave this comment) has still not given you inner peace, if you were truly satisfied with yourself and your life, you wouldn't be here leaving a nasty comment on a blog belonging to women who are obviously not your friends. Our blog does not reflect what happens in our private lives, and we keep it that way for a reason. It's perplexing that you are so concerned but to allay all your worries, we are all doing well(as you stated) and making each day count towards being the women we hope to become. My prayer for you today is to be at peace with your life and focus on achieving all you want for yourself, that way, our blog would not get you this incensed enough to lose your religion and dabble in blatant expressions that reek of personal unhappiness. P.s: There is life after 30.In my book, every added year is a blessing and not a curse. Don't apply your outdated rules to our lives, maybe it works in your circle?? but here?? not so much.. we all ain't the same boo boo. *sips mimosa*
@Vonnieboo I am so glad you love it! I did everything I could not to make it sappy because I am soooooo sad you are going! :'''(
@Ag Wow yall went to school together?? It's a small world!
@Xiomara It's sad you have all this time to hate. Obviously something is lacking in your life that you can't seem to find so you come on our blog and see everything lacking in your life which pisses you off. If i were you, i'll be mad too!!! I can't even insult you, i just feel sorry for you.
If you thought ignorance was a silent killer you haven't read comments on blogs. Absolutely atrocious that one can attack their fellow woman, despite her many accomplishments. It tells a lot about you, xiomara and that's shameful.
Furthermore, being 30 or approaching 30 is NOT a death sentence my dear. Enough with the ageism.
Lovely post ladies, y'all look stunning...as usual.
LMAO @ Xiomara's comment! I've seen stupid comments before but the one really takes the biscuit! Xiomara's comment just sounds like the rantings of an unhappy woman stuck in a crappy relationship and who's only source of happiness is dragging people into similarly unhappy relationships! How did 30 become a 'goal post' of sorts? I'm half amused and half suprised that people (like Xiomara) actually think that way and then actually make an effort to display their ignorance and stupidity on the internet for all to see and marvel at.
And best wishes to your friend Vonnie - moving to another country is NOT easy; there will be times you want to scream, cry, punch the wall, but if you allow yourself to enjoy your surroundings and be content, you'll be fine. Your situation/surroundings do not define your happiness - YOU DO!
And as for Xiomara - I think the girls have responded to you accordingly, and other commenters as well, so I'll leave off.
@Xiomara- This a fashion Blog, not a life in the tales of (insert title here) nor a reality 'show'. The fact that you are so obsessed with their personal lives is beyond me. First and foremost one should aim for pure happiness in oneself before seeking a relationship, and I might add you don't seem happy. Secondly marriage is not by force!!
And I say this as someone who is engaged and happy with the person I am with. I am blessed HOWEVER, marriage does not equal happiness. That is a serious problem I have with a lot women not only Nigerian (but I assume you are a Nigerian Woman). Many women get married for all the wrong reasons. For example: you've hit on the nail 'I'm approaching 30', my biological clock is ticking and all that other nonsense! Then end up in dreadful hurtful relationship with men who aren't God fearing nor that do not respect you, because you didn't respect and love yourself first.
So it seems you need to go back to the drawing board, ask God for forgiveness for judging and making assumptions about others then work on your happiness and stop seeking gratification from undermining others achievements or trying to put others down!
I usually don't comment on tomfoolery, cause I ain't about that life, but that was very UNCALLED FOR!
@4aces yup went to high school with all of em, if I remember I was Miranda's big sister. Time flies and there all still beautiful!! Wish Yvonne nothing but luck!
wikes....hateration in the air..and SADLY coming from another sister....Enemies of progress. All i can say is, in this 2012 its very important for a woman to get her affairs together whether its education or technical training....anything that will allow you to be able to be independent because relationships in 2012 are not as honorable as they use to be in the past.
I love you girls. I come to your blog when am missing my own girlfriends since i left them to go live in another city.
Cheers to working women who getting married is not the only thing but just one of the MANY THINGS they want to accomplish in their lives
